Project Overview
This walnut dining table was commissioned by a family who wanted a centerpiece that could handle daily use while still being something special for dinner parties. The live edge showcases the natural beauty of the walnut grain, while the steel legs provide a modern contrast.
The slab came from a local sawmill – a tree that had fallen during a storm and been air-dried for three years. Working with live edge pieces always presents unique challenges, but that's part of what makes each table one-of-a-kind.
Design Process
The clients initially wanted a traditional farmhouse style, but after seeing the character in this particular slab, we decided to let the wood be the star. The steel legs were designed to be substantial enough to support the weight but sleek enough not to compete with the walnut.

Client Feedback
"We absolutely love our table! It's become the heart of our home. The kids do homework on it, we host dinner parties, and it still looks beautiful after six months of daily use. Worth every penny." - Sarah M.
